A quiet few days, with not much happening, nor many photos.

On Wednesday we left San Francisco, after picking up our rental....... and hit a couple of tourist spots, and then headed down the coast, to Santa Maria.  Whether we miscalculated when we made our plans, our traffic was a lot busier than Mr Google thought, it took a good couple of hours longer than we anticipated.

We finally pulled into San Simeon Lodge for some dinner, purely because we were starving, and it was the only thing around, but were greatly surprised. It was great food, excellent service and a great price.

We finally got to Santa Maria about half 9, but it was pretty easy to find, and a nice hotel. We were disappointed we were so late, as we had wanted to go to Boomers and they weren't open till later the next day. There was nothing else to do in Santa Maria, so we left again, heading for Los Angeles. We found our way down the coast, however once we hit the outskirts there were more options for turn offs, so with no idea where we were going, and no map we pulled into Target and bought a GPS.

Target was great...... they have all the Halloween stuff out, and all the fall decorations. The one thing we noticed was the heat, especially when we spent the day in the air conditioned car getting out was like a heat wave.

We are staying at the Cortona Inn and Suites, which is 2 blocks from Disneyland. It's a great family accomodation, with a pool, games room etc.
