Hi everyone it's Cameron here. I just wanted to share something that is different about America and New Zealand.

In America they have weird names for their money. A penny is 1 cent, a nickel is 5 cents, a dime is 10 cents and a quarter is 25c. They don't have a 50c, so you get lots of quarters when you get change. You have to be careful with the dime and the nickel because the nickel is bigger in size than the dime, and you might give them the wrong money.

Mum told me there used to be $1 and $2 notes in NZ, but now we have the coins. In America they still have the $1 & 2 notes. There don't seem to be many $2 notes in circulation because my Dad had never seen one, and  didn't believe there were any, until I showed him the one in my wallet. You should have seen his face!!!

  2. Hi Cameron,
It will be strange when you get home, you will have got quite used to american coins by then. You will have to be careful to give the right coins when you buy something. Glad that you are enjoying yourself.
Please give my love to Braden as well. Lots of love from Grandma Robson
